10 men Lautoka defeats Labasa in VPL thriller | NZ FIJI TIMES

UPDATED: 5:56am – Lautoka has beaten Labasa 2-1 in their Vodafone Premier League match at Churchill Park yesterday. Labasa was the first to put points on the board after Jonetani Buksh scored in the first minute of the second half.

The scores were levelled after a goal by Lautoka’s Zibraz Sahib in the 17th minute of the second half. Lautoka was then given the lead by Zibraz Sahib through a penalty.

Dave Radriga of Lautoka received a second yellow card for foul play causing Lautoka to be down to 10 men.

Action between Lautoka and Labasa

Lautoka now leads the points table with 31 points. They just need a draw against Suva next weekend to win the Vodafone Premier League.

Meanwhile Nadi defeated Dreketi 1-nil in their match at Prince Charles Park. The winning goal was scored by Rusiate Matarerega.
