Updated: 6:48am – A 31-year-old man who allegedly raped his wife with an eggplant will know his fate today when Suva High Court Judge Justice Riyaz Hamza delivers his judgment in this matter.
The man is facing four counts of rape.

Three assessors earlier returned with a mixed opinion after their deliberation on the week long trial.
Two of the assessors found the accused not guilty with the first count of rape but found him guilty with the other three counts of rape.
One assessor found the accused not guilty with two counts of rape and found him guilty with the other two counts of rape.
The alleged incident occurred between 30th November 2015 and 5th January 2016.
Justice Hamza will give his judgment around midday today.
