Estonia kept majority of possession throughout the game and tried to break the Fijian defense from the flanks but Fiji defended well for most of the match.

Fiji also displayed good football when they had possession, creating chances but scoring let them down.

The best chance for Fiji fell to striker Saula Waqa in the first half after some brilliant build-up play from Fiji but he could not get his shot away from inside the Estonia penalty box.

In the second half Fiji created some half chances to score but again they failed to capitalize.

Fiji coach, Christophe Gamel says he is disappointed with the result but pleased with how the players performed against a professional team.

Gamel adds they need to bring in more consistency in terms of playing possession-based football.

Fijian players such as captain Remeru Takiate, Zibraaz Sahib, Kolinio Sivioki, Dave Radrigai and Kavaia Rawaqa were impressive with their performances.
