Rabuka claims social media and blog sites are the last frontier for free speech, thought, expression and opinion.

He claims Ashwin Raj is trying to intimidate people by suggesting that comments on social networking sites should be regulated.

However, the Director Human Rights has brushed aside any such move saying he will continue to speak out against racism and other forms of discrimination.

Ashwin Raj says the Commission has made numerous interventions including allegations of police brutality, detention of politicians, monitoring places of detention including police cell blocks, Department of Immigration safe house and hospitals.

Raj adds the Commission is independently investigating the death of an 18 year old in police custody and has intervened in the cases of refugees.

He also says standing up to racism is not serving the agenda of the FijiFirst party as claimed by Rabuka has labelled Raj a co-oppressor with puppet for the current government.
