A five bedroom home belonging to a police officer in Ba was completely destroyed with its contents on Friday.
Police spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says the fire occurred at Bala Street in Varadoli.
Naisoro says the officer was at home when he was informed by the house girl that she saw smoke coming out from one of the bedrooms.
No one was injured and the estimated cost of damage is $56,000.
A joint investigation is ongoing with the National Fire Authority.
