The Ba soccer team defeated Nadi 3‑0 in their Vodafone Fiji FACT group match at Churchill Park.
Goals from Darold Kakasi, Mohammed Shazil and Sanaila Waqanicakau in the second half were enough for Ba to get the three points.
Nadi got the better of Ba in the first half but they failed to score.
Kakasi scored Ba’s first goal in the first minute of the second half as Ba took control of the game.
Shazil and Waqanicakau who were substitutes added the other two goals.
Ba Coach Ronil Kumar says they are taking each game at a time.
Samuela Nabenia who was making a comeback to the Lautoka team was a constant threat as he scored three goals.
Benjamin Totori scored three goals as well while Samuela Drudru and Kavaia Rawaqa scored a goal each for the Lautoka side.
Totori says he is confident Lautoka is going to win the tournament.
In other matches played, defending champions Rewa beat Nasinu 3‑0 while the Suva and Labasa drew one-all.
In today’s matches, Suva played Tavua at 1pm, Nadi faced Rewa 3pm, Ba will meet Nasinu at 5pm while Lautoka will play Labasa at 7 tonight.
