Updated: 11:05am – Fiji born Police Officer Ronil Singh was shot and killed while conducting a vehicle stop at the intersection in Newman, Califonia.
According to the US Officer Down Memorial website, approximately three minutes later he called in “shots fired.”

Responding officers found Officer Singh at the scene suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his wounds.
The subject he stopped fled the scene and remains at large.
Officer Singh had served with the Newman Police Department for seven years.
He had previously served with the two other police departments in the US.
