Vodafone 7s Coach Gareth Baber is now well aware of the level of expectations from the Fijian fans as they prepare for the Singapore 7s.

“It is fantastic support that we get in Fiji. It creates an expectation and pressure on the players and the staff alike. But I was aware of that coming into the job. I’d rather that way and have a level of support and commitment from the nation than not being seen by them and not delivering.”

Baber says believes there were some encouraging moments in Hong Kong that they want to repeat this weekend but they know they must beat all these teams to win.

The national side takes on Hong Kong in their first pool match at 4.52pm tomorrow. They then play Russia at 7.50pm before facing Canada in its last pool match at 12.06am on Sunday.

The Cup quarter-final begins at 4.30pm on Sunday afternoon, semi-finals start at 9.10pm and the final is schedule for 12.20am Monday morning.
