The Vodafone Fiji 7s team is now aiming for back to back tournament wins in the World Rugby 7s Series after winning the Hong Kong 7s in style on Sunday night.

Speaking to Fijivillage from Singapore, coach Gareth Baber says he truly believes in a team effort and that will deliver the win for the people of Fiji.

Baber says they represent the people of Fiji who continue to sacrifice for the team and their national 7s team should always give their best for the country.

Baber says his plan is working well by bringing in Isake Katonibau, using Osea Kolinisau well and players like Mesulame Kunavula and Kalione Nasoko really stepping up in Hong Kong.

He is also happy that issues relating to discipline and defence were understood well by the players and executed perfectly on the field.

Army Green forward Paula Dranisinukula has been called in to join the team for the Singapore 7s this weekend.

Dranisinukula was part of the wider training squad and has been with the program from last year.

Team Manager Jone Niurua confirms that the former Ratu Kadavulevu School student will be flying out at 10.30 tonight from Nadi.

Lemeki Tulele and Nacanieli Labalaba have joined the team from Hong Kong to replace Apisai Domolailai, Joeli Lutumailagi and Vatemo Ravouvou who are back in Fiji due to injury.

Fiji will play Hong Kong in their first pool match at 4.52pm Saturday, their second game is against Russia at 7.50pm and their final pool match is against Canada at 12.06am Sunday.

The quarters will kick off at 4.30pm Sunday, the semis will start at 9.10pm while the Gold Medal Final will kick off at 12.20am Monday.
