Updated: 7:36am – Low fog in Wellington is still causing delays and cancellations to flights in and out of the city. The low cloud rolled in last night, and is blanketing most of the city this morning.
MetService said a northerly coming down the North Island should blow it away by 8 or 9am.

Four flights out of the capital, two to Australia, have been cancelled so far this morning, while flights arriving from Sydney, Auckland and Nelson have been delayed.
At least 10 flights out of the capital and more than a dozen incoming flights were cancelled last night.
At least one international flight was diverted to Christchurch. Others were delayed or forced to return to Auckland.
