Updated: 6:00am – A 33-year-old man who allegedly raped his defacto partner’s 4-year-old adopted daughter in Navua has yesterday revealed that he was also having a sexual relationship with the child’s biological mother.
He also told the court that his defacto partner was the niece of the child’s biological mother.
While taking the stand as the first defense witness, the accused also claimed in court that the four-year-old girl is not his biological daughter although he had a relationship with the woman who gave birth to her.
He told Justice Riyaz Hamza that his relationship began with the biological mother when the girl was two years old.
The man also agreed that he was having an affair with the biological mother of the child behind his defacto partner’s back.
The 33-year-old Building Project Supervisor also denied in court that he had raped the four-year-old girl.
The man also told the court that he used to have arguments with his defacto partner.
He said the arguments would start on the issue of whether the four-year-old girl was his biological daughter.
Meanwhile, Justice Hamza ruled earlier today that the 33-year-old man who is charged with raping his defacto partner’s 4-year-old adopted daughter in Navua, has a case to answer.
The man is charged with two counts of rape.
The alleged incident occurred in March this year.
