Updated: 5:56am – A 19-year-old man who raped his eight-year-old cousin last year has been sentenced to nine years and three months imprisonment.
The incident took place between 1st January and 31st March last year.

High Court Judge, Justice Thushara Rajasinghe has also placed a non-parole period of seven years and three months.
Justice Thushara Rajasinghe has also issued a domestic violence restraining order stating that the man should have no contact with the victim.
