A speeding vehicle has crashed into a police car during a pursuit in Christchurch early this morning.
The police car wasn’t involved in the chase which began at 3.30am between police and the the speeding vehicle.

Police pursued the vehicle after the driver failed to stop on Pages Road in Aranui.
They abandoned the chase after 10 minutes due to the manner of the driving.
The vehicle then crashed into a different police car at the intersection of Pages Road and Rowan Avenue.
There are no reports of serious injuries and no charges have been laid yet.
