NZ: Man charged with hit and run in Queenstown

Police have arrested a man after a hit and run on a pedestrian last night in Queenstown.

Police were called to the incident near the corner of Adelaide Street and Frankton Road area just after 10pm.

They said a silver station wagon left the scene but a 33-year-old man has now been arrested.

He will appear in the Queenstown District Court on Monday charged with driving dangerously causing injuring, and failing to stop and check if the pedestrian was injured.

The pedestrian flown to Dunedin Hospital with serious injuries.
