NZ News: Drink-driving charge after five-car crash in South Auckland

Police have charged one person with excess breath alcohol and further charges may follow after a five-car crash in south Auckland last night.

Emergency services were called to an intersection in Flat Bush at about 8.30pm.

One person was taken to Middlemore hospital with critical injuries.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating.

Meanwhile, seven people have been injured in a two-car crash in Auckland at about 8am this morning.

Two people are in a serious condition and five have minor injuries after the crash on Grayson Avenue in Papatoetoe.

Part of the road is closed, and the police are investigating.
