Seaplane makes emergency landing in Lautoka

A pilot and three passengers travelling in a seaplane this morning have escaped serious injuries after they made an emergency landing in a sugarcane field in Saweni, Lautoka.

Police say the incident occurred at around 11am as the plane was traveling back from an island resort to Nadi Airport.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Fiji confirms that the seaplane belongs to Turtle Airways.

They have not disclosed any other details as to why an emergency landing was made.

The news also contacted Turtle Airways and they have not responded.
