Three week Akl train driver strike starts tomorrow

Updated: 11:30am – Train services in Auckland will be affected for the next three weeks as unions take industrial action.

Rush hour services will be affected tomorrow.

Auckland Transport said it and Transdev have developed a temporary timetable to minimise disruption.

Some services will carry extra carriages but run less frequently.

Bus and ferry services are not affected.

The dispute with the unions is over adding to the duties of train drivers.
