Updated: 6:45am – The 41-year-old man charged with murdering Arishma Chand in her Manurewa home will face a trial in October.
Rohit Deepak Singh’s case was called briefly in the High Court in Auckland yesterday where Justice Moore set the trial date.

Mr Singh was excused from attending.
Ms Chand, who was 24, was killed in November last year after returning home from a party with her boyfriend.
Shortly after her boyfriend left the house, Ms Chand called her parents, saying she was worried someone was outside.
When her parents arrived 20 minutes later, they found her dead in a bedroom.
Mr Singh is due back in court in May for an administrative hearing.
