Update: 7:27am – Two men will appear at the Sigatoka Magistrates Court today for allegedly assaulting two police officers in two separate incidents last week.
They have both been charged with one count each of serious assault.

It is alleged that a 23-year-old farmer had assaulted a Police officer at the Keiyasi Police Station on the 20th of this month.
The accused was allegedly drunk and acting in a disorderly manner when confronted by the officer to go home however in the process he allegedly assaulted the officer.
In another separate incident a 29-year-old farmer of Keiyasi is also alleged to have assaulted a 35-year-old Police Officer.
The man was also allegedly drunk at the time when he committed the offense.
