A woman in her 80s was seriously injured in a violent break-in at a house in Henderson. Police responded to the incident at 2:20 am on Thursday.

A man entered the property, startled the occupants, and attacked them.

The elderly woman received medical treatment for serious but non-life-threatening injuries and is currently in stable condition at the hospital.

Despite the immediate response from the police, including the Air Support Unit and Police Dog Unit, the man was not found. A scene guard is in place.
