In West Auckland’s Massey, a crash involving three people resulted in moderate injuries, including a police officer.
The incident occurred when a civilian car collided with a police car at high speed.
A police officer and a social worker were inside the police car, while another person in the civilian car was also injured. All three individuals were taken to North Shore Hospital.
A section of Red Hills Rd was closed, and motorists were advised to expect delays or avoid the area.
The police will notify the Independent Police Conduct Authority about the crash.
