A 39-year-old woman has appeared in court for allegedly assaulting a 16-year-old Auckland teen with a metal rod.
The attack, which police claim was hate-motivated, resulted in the loss of three teeth and three more.
The victim, Jason Luo, lost three teeth and had three more damaged.
The woman was granted interim name suppression and remanded in custody without a plea. She is expected to reappear next week.
