Three vehicles were destroyed in an explosion near Whitianga, Coromandel Peninsula, overnight.
Police are investigating the suspected arson, which occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Fire crews discovered the vehicles set alight at the Ferry Landing on Panorama Ave, opposite Whitianga Wharf.
No arrests have been made, and police are investigating. Anyone with relevant information is asked to contact the police at 105.
