The Ministry of Health has stated that social media may not be the most effective platform for raising complaints about its services following a recent post about a severely ill patient who died from severe bronchial asthma.
The patient’s mother has made claims against the doctors at Nadi Hospital, seeking answers on what led to her daughter’s death.
The Ministry has sent condolences to the grieving family and has established procedures to address family grievances.
They remain committed to ensuring transparency and accountability and will engage in an official investigation if a complaint is made.
They encourage constructive feedback, and complaints can be lodged through the toll free number 157.
