Radrodro emphasizes the importance of teachers in ensuring student safety and reminds schools, students, teachers, stakeholders, and parents of their responsibility to keep drugs away from the school system.

Fiji Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Commission Chair Pravesh Sharma suggests that teachers need training to enhance their knowledge of drug addiction, disciplinary procedures, and counseling students found with drugs in the classroom.

Sharma emphasizes the need for collective responsibility in supporting teachers’ mental health and well-being and calls for the state to invest in this by providing resources and training them in crisis management in classrooms.
