A woman in her 70s died in a car accident on the Viseisei bypass road. The victim was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a 36-year-old woman.
The suspect lost control, causing the vehicle to veer off the road and hit a post.
The driver is currently admitted to Lautoka Hospital, while the second vehicle driver and passenger did not sustain injuries.
The road death toll currently stands at 37, down from 60 in the same period last year.
