A man accused of murdering an eight-year-old boy in the suburb of Bader, New Zealand, has appeared in the Hamilton District Court.
Police were called around 5.30 pm to a violent altercation at a property in the suburb. Three people were taken to the hospital, including the boy in critical condition. The boy later died from his injuries yesterday evening.
A 37-year-old man was arrested at the scene and appeared in court in a blue jumpsuit with his arms folded. The accused has name suppression and did not enter a plea to the charge of murder.
He was remanded to appear in the High Court in Hamilton on September 17.
