A family in Koroqaqa, outside Nausori Town, is homeless after a fire destroyed their home.
The National Fire Authority estimated the cost of the damage to the four-bedroom home to be between $80,000 and $90,000.
The fire started in the storage area, and the family had to escape when it spread quickly.
The home belonged to a 31-year-old taxi driver, his wife, two children, and his mother.
Investigations are underway.
The National Fire Authority is enhancing its Integrated Community Fire Wardens and Emergency Response Framework by offering a free training program for all communities.
The program focuses on firefighting skills and preventing unwanted fires.
It also administer basic first aid, and responding to emergencies within the community.
