A train driver in the Netherlands has had a fortunate break on account of a serendipitously positioned craftsmanship establishment.

A metro train in Spijkenisse, close to the city of Rotterdam, smashed through a hindrance toward the finish of the tracks without further ado before 12 PM on Sunday.

Yet rather than falling 10m (32ft) into the water underneath, the train was left suspended drastically noticeable all around.

It wound up being carefully adjusted on the huge model of a whale’s tail at the De Akkers metro station.

“We are attempting to choose how we can bring the train down in a cautious and controlled way,” one authority told the Dutch public telecaster NOS on Monday.

The driver, who has not been named, had the option to leave the vacant train without anyone else. He was taken to clinic for a registration and isn’t accepted to have endured any wounds.

The figure, named Whale Tails, is crafted by the draftsman and craftsman Maarten Struijs, and was raised in the water toward the finish of the tracks in 2002.

Mr Struijs revealed to NOS that he was astounded the structure didn’t break.

“It has been there for just about 20 years and… you really anticipate that the plastic should pound a piece, yet that is evidently not the situation,” he said.

“I’ll ensure that I get a couple photographs,” he added. “I would never have envisioned it that way.”
