Updated: 6:17am – An eight-year-old murder case was called in the Suva High Court yesterday.
Imshad Izrar Ali, who is charged with one count of murder, appeared before Judge Justice Vincent Perera.

Ali is charged with the alleged murder of his partner at their Howell Road home in Suva back in 2009.
His trial date has been fixed in May for three weeks.
However, Prosecution informed the court that they have issues with the date as the council is engaged in another trial during that time.
Justice Perera said the trial cannot be deferred as the accused that is on remand, already has medical issues.
The Judge told the prosecution to arrange another lawyer for this trial.
The matter has been adjourned to 29th January 2018.
