A 37-year-old man has been charged with the murder of an eight-year-old boy in Hamilton.
Police were called to a violent altercation in Bader about 5.20 pm on Sunday, where the boy and two adults were taken to the hospital. The child died last night in hospital.
Hamilton City field crime manager Inspector Darrell Harpur said the man was taken into custody at the scene.
Police have launched a homicide investigation. The man is due to appear in court today.
