Ba holds Suva to a 2-all draw while Rewa defeats Tavua 3-0

Updated: 8:05am – The Ba soccer team scored 2 goals in the last 10 minutes to secure a 2 all draw against Suva in their Vodafone Premier League match this afternoon at Ratu Cakobau Park.

Ba’s Malakai Tiwa scored in the 38th minute of the second half while Meli Codro’s shot deflected off a Suva player into Suva’s goal.

Suva was leading 2-0 at half time.

Fijivillage asked Ba Manager Arvind Singh what he told players in the second half that had made them lift their game in the last 5 minutes.

Singh says the players were told to focus on the game plan.

Suva’s Waisake Navunigasau scored in the 3rd minute and Kelvin Naidu scored in the 33rd minute for Suva.

We asked Suva coach Tuka Tisam what he thought happened in the  last 5 minutes of the game.

Tisam says a good side will take a chance.

Suva now has 11 points in the Vodafone Premier League points table while Ba has 10 points.

Meanwhile in another match, Rewa beat Tavua 3-0 at Garvey Park in Tavua.
