Updated: 7:51pm – A man died yesterday after falling off the roof of his home in Varoka, Ba.
Dead is Joveci Roqica of Nailaga Village in Ba.
A relative, Timoci Seru, said he was alerted about the victim who was placing concrete blocks on his roof when the incident happened.
It is believed Mr Roqica was securing his home after Tropical Cyclone Keni moved closer to the Western Division yesterday.
“He was being accompanied by his family members when placing the blocks on the roof. But those working with him found him lying on the ground after they parted ways to have breakfast,’’ Mr Seru said.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed the incident.
“The victim collapsed on top of the roof and it is not related to the cyclone,” she said.
Police investigations continue.
