Updated: 6:24am – The body of a 73-year-old man was recovered from the Navua River yesterday.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro says the victim was from Nakavu Village and he was reported missing by family members yesterday after his towel was found by the river near to where he lived.

She says a search was conducted yesterday with negative results and the search continued along the Navua river whereby a group of villagers managed to retrieve the victim’s body.
A post mortem will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
