Ajay Devgn, the only Indian actor involved in eight film franchises, has begun work on the sequel to the horror film Shaitaan (2024).
The script is being written, and the makers and Ajay Devgn will decide when the film should go on floors. With Shaitaan 2 and Son Of Sardaar 2.
Devgn has become the only Indian actor to headline the most successful franchises featuring a different genre.
His eight franchise films include Golmaal (four films), Singham (two films with Rohit Shetty’s cop universe appearances), Dhamaal (three films with Ajay’s appearance in the third part, Total Dhamaal), Drishyam (two films), Raid (a sequel expected this year), De De Pyaar De (a sequel to be released on May 1, 2025), Son Of Sardaar, and Shaitaan.
The global trend of franchise films has gained popularity, with fans eager to see their favorite actors reprise their iconic roles.
Work on Drishyam 3 is also in full swing. The formal announcement will occur once the modalities are worked out.
