Updated: 6:45am – A 54-year-old man from Martintar, in Nadi is in a critical condition at the Lautoka Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after he was hit by a car last weekend.
Police yesterday confirmed that the incident took place near Ed’s Bar in Martintar on Friday at 10.50pm.

The victim is alleged to have been under the influence of alcohol and was allegedly hit by a vehicle driven by a 24-year-old man.
It is alleged that the victim was crossing the road when the incident happened.
He was taken to the Nadi hospital before he was transferred to the Lautoka hospital.
He is now under observation; an investigation is underway.
