Car pulled from Auckland harbour | NZ FIJI TIMES

Updated: 6:35am – Police and emergency rescue crews have pulled a car with a body inside from under Auckland Harbour Bridge.

Emergency crews were on the scene within minutes after being called by bystanders about 7.20pm at Westhaven Drive near the marina. The location of the car was discovered about two hours later.

A white car was pulled from the water about 10.30pm yesterday.

Police said they were working to identify the occupant.

Fire crews stripped off and jumped in to the water to reach the car, police said. Earlier, police said the car was in the water with reports of one person trapped inside.

Four fire crews and the police were at the scene.
