China is prepared to assist Fiji in several crucial areas

China is ready to support Fiji in agriculture, tourism, aquaculture, education, and the fight against drugs.

Chinese Ambassador to Fiji Zhou Jian announced that direct flights from China to Fiji could attract about one million tourists.

China is also ready to invest in hotel and tourism development projects, with hotel developers willing to increase the number of beds for Fiji tourism.

Jian also aims to encourage Fijians to utilize their idle land and seas to earn income from their resources, ultimately reducing poverty.

China is also ready to import more products from Fiji, including noni, kura, kava, wood, fish, and other agricultural produce.

Other areas being examined include technical support for Fijians to enter commercial agriculture and aquaculture.

Strengthen grassroots development and offer scholarships, vocational training, shipbuilding, and modern port facilities.

Jian also expressed readiness to assist Fiji in the fight against drugs, stating that China has always supported the Fiji Police through targeted training.

China also supports rehabilitation centers and awareness campaigns, ensuring young people acquire skills and knowledge to create meaningful revenue opportunities.

Jian emphasizes that China has no hidden agenda and has 49 years of strong bilateral relations with Fiji.
