The woman who is a Sales Consultant with a Real Estate Company informed the court that the accused was her defacto partner during the time of the alleged incident.

She also told the court that she was informed by her elder sister that her four-year-old daughter had complained that the 33-year-old man had raped the young girl.

The woman says she had confronted her former defacto partner about this and he kept saying that he did not know what the child was talking about and it did not happen.

The woman also said that when she asked him on one occasion, he had just laughed it off.

When questioned by defense lawyer, Aseri Vakaloloma, the woman also agreed that she did not report the matter to police as she was confused and did not know what to do.

She told the court that she had a discussion about the incident with the biological mother of the child.

The woman was then asked if she had taken the child to a doctor for checkup.

She told the court that she did take the four-year-old girl to the doctor but the doctor was not at the clinic and the child was not examined.

However, she agreed that the child was medically examined by a doctor after a report was lodged with the Police.

The woman also told the court that she also visited her former defacto partner while he was in remand as her four-year-old daughter was crying and wanted to see him.
