During the review of the Immigration Act, concerns were raised regarding child trafficking and foreign preaching

A citizen of Fiji expressed concerns regarding immigration, citizenship, and passport laws.

This occurred during a public consultation to review the Immigration Act, the Citizenship of Fiji Act, and the Passports Act in Rakiraki.

The man also voiced his apprehensions about the potential misuse of visitor visas. These visas are to preach their religion in Fiji, which could be problematic for some people.

He questioned whether visitors on tourist visas should be allowed to preach in the country.

The consultation continues, with the team scheduled to attend various venues in Rakiraki, Nausori, and Nausori.
