Updated: 10:25am – The National Party has won the most votes in the 2017 general election, but will still need other parties to govern.
- National has won 46.0 percent of the vote based on the preliminary result (which excludes special votes)
- Labour is on 35.8 percent, NZ First is on 7.5 percent and the Green Party has 5.9 percent
- No party has enough to govern alone
- The Māori Party has lost all its seats in Parliament
- ACT’s David Seymour won Epsom, but NZ First leader Winston Peters has lost his Northland seat.
