Update: 6:24am – A significant number of inquiries in relation to the Election official’s recruitment drive for next year’s general election has been received by the Elections office.

The Fijian Elections Office has therefore confirmed that it will be running the entire recruitment drive in various recruitment centers for a whole month.

Fijians who wish to get recruited are advised not to rush in on the first day of recruitment as it will run for a whole month.

However the FEO acknowledges that there are many who still wish to apply on the first day.

FEO’s Stakeholder Awareness Coordinator Edwin Nand says they have developed a registration system for time slots on the first day to allow anyone that’s interested to book a timeslot and attend the recruitment session this Friday.

Nand says Friday is the only day this month which the recruitment will take place while the rest of the drive will be from 1st August.

Fijians who have registered online have been given the green light for a slot to apply on registration.feo.org.fj.

Only 700 bookings will be allowed on Friday and anyone unable to get an appointment can apply later.

However appointments and bookings will not be required after Friday.

This also allows Fijians time to get their details in order and ensure they have their FNPF Card number, their Joint ID Card, their bank details and their VoterCard.
