The release of Shailesh Mahadik’s film Welcome to the Jungle has been postponed. The delay is due to a Mumbai monsoon that caused significant damage to the set.
Despite the setback, the team has shown resilience, and the extensive set, spread over 10 acres, was reconstructed in late July.
The new set will include a central house, which will be the focus of the upcoming filming schedule.
Director Ahmed Khan revealed that constructing the new set is a monumental task. The redesigned set is even larger than its predecessor. This ambitious undertaking is a testament to the scale and grandeur of the upcoming film.
Filming is scheduled to resume on August 9. The cast includes Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Disha Patani. The whole cast will return to the location soon to continue work on “Welcome to the Jungle.”
The film features Akshay Kumar in the lead role alongside a talented ensemble, and is set to hit theaters on December 20th, 2024.
