Updated: 8:54am – The western division farmers were acknowledged for their hard work and dedication towards keeping the agricultural sector sustainable.
Education Officer West, Adriu Qio says a nation’s food security depends entirely on farmers and the western famers have not fallen short.
Qio who was speaking during the 2017 Agriculture Show in the western division labeled these farmers as one of the critical players of the agriculture sector.
He also says stakeholders and processers play an equally important role in the sector, therefore, everyone is required to work with Government to maximize growth.
The three day 2017 Western Agriculture Show ends tomorrow with the awards for successful farmers in different categories within the Western Division.
The theme for this year’s show is “Climate Smart Agriculture for Fiji.”
