Jay Raj Prasad says there’s a need for facilities in cities and towns to be more suited for disabled persons like more ramps for people in wheel chairs.

He was one of a few people who turned up to the budget consultation for the disabled.

Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum met with people during the Lautoka consultation yesterday afternoon.

The consultation targeted disabled persons with views regarding the budget.

Sayed-Khaiyum also used the opportunity to update those that attended the consultation on Fiji’s current economic situation.

This included relevant information relating to the formulation of the budget including inflation levels, fiscal deficit, discussions on foreign reserves and government debt and total revenue.

Another public consultation will be held this Saturday in Lautoka.
