Updated: 6:46am – This has been revealed by the Permanent Secretary of Civil Service Bernadette Welch at the Medical Interns Induction yesterday.

Welch says they are continuously reviewing the number of doctors that are needed which was done in the last budget announcement and will be done before the next announcement.

She says that the Ministry of Health will have to be innovative on how to attract doctors to Fiji through recruitment, looking at Memorandums Of Understanding, universities and other arrangements with the health and medical facilities in other parts of the world.
