He says a great deal of falsehood is being flowed.

“The lockdown of the more prominent Lautoka region doesn’t influence the inventory of vegetables to the lockdown zone. In the event that we have no lockdown there yet on the off chance that we have a similar climate conditions you will have the circumstance much more awful.”

Dr Reddy says a group from the Agriculture Ministry is guaranteeing there is no deficiency of supply because of the limitation.

“We are currently AMA and Agriculture staff are going out effectively sourcing for these from Suva to give to the merchants in the Lautoka market and satellite market in Lautoka. Our essence there is tending to the issue of lockdown since we have the range to come to Suva to bring the produce down.”

The Ministry says on the issue of climb in costs, they don’t have any command over this as vegetable costs are not directed.

In any case, they have power over the vegetables bought by showcase merchants through Agro Marketing Authority.
