FIJI NEWS: Eight more arrested for breaking COVID-19 restriction

Eight additional individuals were captured toward the beginning of today for supposedly breaking the COVID-19 limitations in the Lautoka lockdown region.

An official of Police Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qilio says four anglers from Ba were blocked by a Coastal Patrol group in Nacilau waters early today and were arrested.

Three men from Nalawa, Yasawa were likewise captured along the Viseisei Beachfront coming back from an island resort and were attempting to get into Lautoka.

The last episode saw the capture of a 31year elderly person who entered the cordoned off territory through the ocean from Nadi.

The Commissioner featured that all reports of defiance and endeavors made to enter the lockdown territories won’t be trifled with and the individuals who keep on rupturing the limitations will confront the full brunt of the law.
