Temporary numbers show that guest appearances for May this year totaled 709 contrasted with 73,169 for May 2019.

The Fiji Bureau of Statistics expresses that like the April 2020 numbers, this diminishing can be ascribed to the overall COVID-19 pandemic and the limitations on universal travel because of conclusion of most worldwide air terminals.

Of the 709 guests, 15 dropped via air while 694 traveled via ocean.

The ocean guest appearances were for the most part sailors on angling vessels, who were at that point in Fiji waters when global travel was confined.

A sum of 532 Fiji occupants withdrew our shores during the long stretch of April of which 187 or 35.2% were for a transient nonappearance of under a quarter of a year and 137 or 25.8% were for more than a quarter of a year and inside a year time frame.

A sum of 208 or 39.1% of inhabitant flights were for a more extended term nonattendance of 1 year or more.
