The Vodafone Fiji football side would want to start its quest for a spot at the 2018 FIFA World Cup on a high note against New Zealand in the Stage Three qualifiers today.

Fiji go into the match as underdogs as New Zealand already has six points on the standings having defeated New Caledonia twice.

Coach Christophe Gamel has made some changes to the squad and will be hoping his new combination and game plan works out well.

Team captain Roy Krishna has a lot of hopes from this team.

“We have a great team. The team is quite different from the one’s we had in the past. The boy’s knowledge about the sport has increased a lot and its a good thing.”

The match kicks off at 1pm at Lautoka’s Churchill Park.

You can catch a live commentary of the match on Radio Fiji Two with the voice of soccer, Raymond Stoddart
